1. STARTING SONG

Just like in previous cycles, the Starting Song is the moment for preparation of the Vivadí class. It is also necessary to carry out the playful tasks that the song proposes.

3. STORYTELLING

That children feel protagonists of their learning process by inviting them to engage as creators in a narration experience.
To challenge the students to find agreements as a group through the process of choice making.

5. BRAIN BREAK

It is a transitional break to regain the student's attention, to keep them focused and to integrate their minds and bodies into one same action.

7. ENDING SONG

To end the class in the same way it started.
That children take responsibility for ordering their learning space and to make them feel owners of it.

As always, the Vivadí Class will begin with the Starting Song. Considering one of the main objectives of this cycle, we propose a small activity to start the class and generate spontaneous group responses while the children get ready for Vivadí.

During this cycle, you will play the starting song without giving any indications to the children. In other words, you will stay still and wait to see their reaction to the introduction of the song without giving instructions. Wait for a few seconds and see if they begin to arrange the classroom, or if they take their shoes off, or somehow show that they are ready to start with the class.

Life unfolds in the present and yet we let the present slip away like quick sand: unseized, unrelished and totally squandered in our worries about the future or in our quest to understand the past. John Kabat Zinn says, "Ordinary thoughts course through our minds like a deafening waterfall". And deafened we are: to the sound of the bird, to the falling rain, to the laughter of our child, to the thunder of the cloud, to the hello of a friend. We course through life blinded by a future and yes, blind we are: to the beauty of the spring, to the flight of a bird, to the yellow in the flower, to the hopes in our child, you the mischief in that laughter.. KIDS MEDITATION - FIVE FINGER BREATHING

In this video, strengthen your superpowers of focus and calm by taking slow deep breaths as you trace the outline of your hand with your pointer finger. Try playing this mindful game when you feel nervous or upset, or when you want to cool down, relax, and focus your attention. The video begins deep in the rainforest with a nervous Tarsier who wants to breathe to calm down. To play this mindful game, you’ll follow the Tarsier’s lead and listen to the narrator as she guides the activity. You will begin by opening one hand all the way, stretching your fingers out like a star. Using the pointer finger on your other hand, trace the outline of the hand that’s stretched out like a star. Breathe in as you trace up your fingers, and breathe out as you trace down your fingers. You can begin by tracing your pointer finger, pausing at the top, and moving to your middle finger, pausing at the top, then your ring finger, pausing at the top, and finally your pinky finger. Once you get to the end, you can repeat the process starting back at your pointer finger. Remember to keep a slow and even pace as you trace and breathe.
